Specialized History 
Specialized was founded by Mike Sinyard in 1974, he started bringing Italian bike components to the United States , but they made his first bike with their own components in 1976, the bike was the Specialized Touring Tire. In 1981 they made two bikes more, this bikes are,  the Sequoia, that was sport touring design, and the Allez, that was a road bike. Specialized also started to be the  first major production mountain bike in the world in 1981, with the Stumpjumper that was designed by Tim Neenam and Tom Ritchey. Specialized continues to produce others bikes like hardtail and full-suspension models. Specialized made  the Epic in 1989, the world's second mass-production carbon fibremountain bike. 

In the 1990s Specialized made  the Globe  for urban bikes. 

 Specialized created the Full in 1995. It was a cheaper mountain bike brand sold through sports stores and discounts retailers. By 1996, Specialized  lost 30% of its bike shop sales and came with declaring bankruptcy.

Merida bikes of Taiwan Bought 49% of Specialized in 2001. Mike Sinyard remainded majority owner and CEO of the company. Specialized is now one of the largest bicycle brands.
what was your personal reaction to this reading selection?
My personal reaction: I was impressed because it was very interesting that the company started with few bikes and started  to grow. When they almost went to bankruptcy, the Taiwan company helped Specialized. Now, it is my favorite brand!

What  do you believe the author's intent was, and what patterns of organization did you observe?
I believe that author's intent was teaching us how the company grew, and i observe two patterns of organization which are chronological organization and order of importance organisation.
